MARY'S BASEMENT At a 4th of July block party, three of the musicians saw that there was a serious need for good entertainment. These three performers got together and formed what was to become Marys Basement.
John (Notch Filter) Curran, with his uncanny ability to eliminate feedback with the power of his mind, fronts Marys Basement with his powerful vocals on songs that range from the 1961 hit (Maries the Name) His Latest Flame through the 80s Who Can It Be Now and the melodic vocal lines of Tequila Sunrise. Rennie (I play guitar) Pincus compliments Johns vocals with haunting riffs as well as talking the lead vocals on Brown Sugar and Im a Loser.
Charlie "Big Man" Kaczorowski rounds out the melody line with his hard hitting sax solos, Hell even jump with lead vocals if a good punk song makes the set. Alex "Dr. Discipline" Stecyna brings a good dose of discipline to the band and fills in any remaining gaps with keys and backing vocals.
And what would any band be with out a good rhythm section. Jimmy D (I play Bass) and Tommy "Metronome" Irwin provide the foundation for Marys Basement, which allows the rest of the band to really show their talent.
This just leaves one question, why Marys Basement? This one can only be answered by Mary.
